Question: Where do you draw the line of what is art?
Class on Wednesday gave me the opportunity to meet the very vibrant, Amanda Martinez. Her and I agreed that where the line is drawn for what counts as art depends on each individual. A chair can be just a means of sitting for one person but could be a work of art for someone else. If you look at something and it makes you feel something, then it is art. If it is aesthetically pleasing to someone or if it just makes a person feel a certain way, then it is art. A very interesting thing I found out about Amanda is that she is an Environmental Science major, the first one I have met since I’ve been here at CSULB!
