Week 8: Classmate Marcelo Ceballos

Before answering the questions of the week, here are some fun facts about Marcelo Ceballos!

Marcelo is on his 22nd year of living, with his birthday being February 8! He is a Biology major here at CSULB. Aside from being a full time student, he is also a tutor at the SAS Center and an intern at Tidal Influence, where he works on wetland restoration and community outreach. If you weren’t already impressed, he’s also the council president! Marcelo’s favorite ice cream flavor is cookie dough and his favorite color is orange because it reminds him of the sunset. Marcelo is from the Lakewood/Cypress area. The most interesting fact about Marcelo is that he has a dog! His adorable dog’s name is Oscar and he loves to jump around. When asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Marcelo answered, “Caterpillar”.

Now,  onto the questions!

  1. Marcelo wants to share the sky as his form of art. I thought this was a brilliant and rather abstract answer. He thinks it’s something that people forget about from day/night to day/night especially living in the city, we don’t get to see it very clearly. And it’s there for everyone and it’s constantly changing. He also thinks it’s pretty.
  2. If Marcelo’s child wanted to pursue a career in art, he would support his child. As long as they are responsible and has a plan for their life, then he would definitely support his child. Although, because Marcelo is not artsy, at some point, he would not know how to help his child, so they would have to figure out their path in life by themselves eventually. Marcelo will try to be helpful and supportive as much as he can.
  3. Marcelo and I had MANY apps in common! The list is extremely long, so here it goes:
  • weather
  • notes
  • Google Drive
  • GMail
  • Google Maps
  • Calculator
  • Voice Memo
  • Clock
  • Phone
  • Messages
  • Email
  • Safari
  • Calendar
  • Camera
